As a Swiss company, SIGVARIS GROUP has been 100% family-owned since it was founded in Winterthur in 1864 by Moritz Ganzoni-Sträuli and his partner Niklaus Barthelts. For around 100 years, SIGVARIS GROUP has been producing “rubber-elastic textiles” that are distributed both in Switzerland and internationally.
From 1958 to 1960, the company worked with phlebologist Dr. Karl Sigg to develop a medical compression stocking designed to improve venous function and relieve venous-related discomfort.
